Asuu has impeached the current
president Yinka Gbadebo of NANS and has replaced him with Jubril Ahmad, the
vice-president As
a result of his poor handling of the ongoing ASUU strike,
According to Sahara Reporters, NANS Senate President Emaluyi Sunday Michael said Gbadebo was impeached at a meeting of stakeholders on September 7 under Section 49(1) of the constitution. That provision states: “The president can be impeached on the grounds of incompetence or as therefore by his attitude or action which can be classified/regarded as misconduct”.
It accused Gbadebo of inability to serve the primary purpose of NANS to protect the general interest of all Nigerian students both at home and in Diaspora, “before the institutions, government, parastatals, stakeholders and even other countries policies.” it is as a result of this deficiency and irresponsibility that the president seemingly lost his office......hmmmmmm!!!!!
